Water: Use only distilled water, rainwater, or reverse osmosis water. Keep the soil consistently moist by sitting the pot in a tray of water (the tray method). Never use tap water. Soil: Plant in a mixture of peat moss and perlite or sand; do not use standard potting soil as the nutrients will harm the plant.
