Product Description
Improved yellow-leaf caryopteris. Sunshine Blue® II caryopteris is a new, improved cultivar. It replaces the original Sunshine Blue® caryopteris as it has proven in our trials to be brighter, hardier, and more adaptable. Vivid yellow foliage holds up to the heat of summer and offers bold, beautiful contrast when blue flowers begin to appear in late summer. Also known as blue mist spirea, despite the fact that it is not remotely related to Spiraea.

Sunshine Blu II Bluebeard Cariopteris
Plant was received fully leafed out, definitely out of dormancy and two dozen or so leaf tips showed frost damage. Will have to hold indoors under lights for three- weeks to avoid chance of frost kill here in zone 5 and even then will have to put under a cloache if frost threatens. This is more effort than I wanted to put in. The plant should not have been shipped as early as it was for our zone. Communication is key for best results and this was shipped at a time our area had three night of below 25 degree temps. Not sure of your thought processes. I hope I can make this work.
