Product Description

A special selection chosen for its subtle scarlet shade, and taken from the group known as 'Cut Petalled'. The flowers of Red Cloak are quite distinct against the finely cut, silver-green foliage.

Plant History:
A plant which has grown up relatively close to the home of Kew, originating from northern temperate regions which include the UK, where it can now be found as a native. Pulsatillas belong to the Ranunculaceae family, which also encompasses Hellebores, Delphiniums and Aquilegia.

THE ROYAL BOTANIC GARDENS, KEW:
Kew grows more species in its 300 acres than any other garden in the world and is an important scientific institution. The magnificent glasshouses, including Decimus Burton's famous Palm House, display a wide range of plants from rainforest to desert and provide the visitor with a visual and fragrant treat whatever the time of year.
