''SMNSRD4'' ppaf; cbraf Check out this showy new cutleaf elderberry with bright golden foliage. It's a colorful, shaggy mound of gold threads with colorful reddish new growth. The foliage is more deeply cut than 'Sutherland Gold' or Black Lace™ resulting in a compact irregular mound with extremely fine texture. White spring flowers produce red fruit in fall. Will tolerate full sun in northern climates, but prefers light shade in more southern areas.

    Well packaged, healthy specimen received. Had to post it to the IG page hopefully more people are shrinking their lawns and planting more edibles and at least some cultivars closely related to natives if not the native species themselves. Thanks for growing with care !

    We were surprised by the shipping (two in a box, shipped sideways, taped to prevent the dirt from falling out, big bubblewrap in the box). It worked very nicely and quickly. They are smaller then we expected but perfect. Very sweet plant, cute, very healthy.
