Very drought tolerant and grows well in poor soil. Prefers full sun with well-drained soil. Valued for its very unique and ornamental flowers. First true dwarf Sea Holly, forms low rosettes of deeply toothed blue-green leaves, colorful silver blue stems and darker blue flowers with spiny blue bracts add a unique color and texture to the garden.
