Product Description

String of Arrows/Spades (Ceropegia woodii). String of arrows, lookalike of the string of hearts, except for the narrower, "arrow" shaped leaves. another must have to add to the "string of.." family! This succulent-like plant grows vines that will trail several feet! Leaves are plump when well-watered and thin when thirsty. Mauve flowers are shaped like small lanterns. Lighting and temperature changes will effect the leaf color, they can turn almost red in color when exposed to enough light. They will reach two to four feet in length, so the plant should be hung or set on a pedestal where it will receive bright light for most of the day. (Full sun is ok, if some protection is provided during the hottest part of the day). The Rosary Vine prefer summer temperatures around 70-75 degrees, but during the winter it should be kept in a cooler room if possible (60-65 degrees). This plant is somewhat succulent, so be careful to never overwater, or allow it to set in water. Water thoroughly, and then allow the soil to completely dry out before watering again. During the active growing period of spring and summer, the Rosary plant should be fed monthly with an all purpose liquid houseplant food diluted to half strength. Use a porous potting soil with coarse sand added when you repot this vine in early spring, making sure to provide adequate drainage.

    String of Arrows

Can't explain this but have gone a bit crazy (in the good way) over the string of plants. Did not know about this one until saw in Hirt options. Came fast, very well wrapped and watered just enough, plant looks just as healthy as in the website photo. Waiting a bit before putting outside with other string of plants due to possibility of more freezes/frosts. REALLY like this one.
