Product Description
A low spreading ground cover plant with silvery leaves, topped by pure white flowers. Easy and attractive, particularly useful for quickly covering sunny banks etc. Each plant having a spread of 24 inches. Mature height 6-8" Flowers late spring/summer. Plant in full sun, 14-18 inches apart. Excellent as a ground cover, in rock gardens or at the garden's edge, cascades over walls. Zones 3-8. Shear after flowering to promote new growth. Cerastium are good for hot dry spots and one of the best selections for colder areas. Needs well-drained soil but will thrive in poor soil. Also known as: Snow In Summer, Starry Grasswort, Dusty Miller, Jerusalem Star, Snow Plant, Wooly Mouse-Ear Chickweed.
