A classic wildflower. Three large pointed leaves at the top of each stem with a three petaled red flower at the tip of each stalk. Loves the shade and naturalizes well. Wildflowers/woodland flowers are excellent for shaded areas covered with trees. They bloom in early spring and grow best in cool, shady spots in moist, well-drained soil. They also make an attractive ground cover.
