With their resistance to not just blight but to leafminer as well, these cultivars will help keep boxwood an option for landscapers and homeowners. NewGen Independence boxwood has a useful globe-like habit, dark green foliage, and slightly more elongated leaves than other Buxus species. Nearly as tall as it is wide, its strong branching structure helps it withstand snow loads. Medium growth rate.
