Product Description

ORNAMENTAL GRASSES: Grasses provide structure and texture to your garden, offering many shapes, heights and colors. Most will “bloom’ with attractive seed fronds that move with the breeze. Commonly known as Japanese Bloodgrass, 'Red Baron' is a clump-forming, ornamental grass that features erect, thin blades. The upper half of each blade turns a garnet red in summer with the red colour often deepening toward burgundy as the growing season progresses. This grass remains attractive until late autumn and then goes dormant in winter. It is useful in borders, rock gardens or as a colourful accent. Its foliage colour can be superb when backlit by early morning or late day sun. 'Red Baron' is also good for patio containers or tubs. Hardy in zones 5-9. Plant in sun or partial shade. Grows 12-24 inches tall. Plant 12 inches apart.

    For a one-gallon pot and the price, the size of the plant we received was disappointingly small. It did arrive in good condition. It arrived quickly. And the instructions that came along with it were quite helpful. But considering the small size that we received, it's unlikely we will be ordering from this seller again.

    I absolutely love this plant. I potted it and put it on my porch and it looks lovely. Very eye catching and the colors are vibrant. I cannot wait to order more!!
