Product Description
Pink flowers will bloom spring through fall and contrast with the inky-black foliage. A vigorous variety that grows to 12 inches tall and wide. Perfect for an accent plant, mixed containers, or grow in masses for a groundcover.

They're particularly wonderful in partial shade, but don't seem fussy about being in full sun even during our hot, humid summers. They also make excellent house plants! Grown on a windowsill and keep evenly moist, not wet or dry.

What the pictures don't show you...
Of the 5 items I purchased this time, this is my favorite. I enjoy finding new perrenials, trees, and bushes that will grow well (at least in the summer time) in Zone 6 and so far this plant is doing very well. Okay, so what Hirt's pictures don't really show is the top of the shamrock is actually a dark, almost black, purple. The underside is a rich but lighter purple, almost maroon, and then as you can see in the photo, the flowers are a light pastel purple. For someone who's favorite color is purple, you can see why I was excited when it arrived. I've only had this plant for about a week, so I have no further details on growth, but definitely a very unique addition to any garden.
