Berggarten Sage - Salvia officinalis - Hardy Perennial - Live Plant -3" Pot

Garden Sage (Salvia officinalis). Hardy perennial, with woody stems, grayish leaves, and blue to purplish flowers native to southern Europe and the Mediterranean region. It is much cultivated as a kitchen and medicinal herb, and is also called Garden sage, Kitchen sage, and Dalmatian sage. In southern Europe related species are sometimes cultivated for the same purpose, and may be confused with the garden sage. Berggarten Sage has an mounding habit and appearance. The words ‘friendly’ and ‘tidy’ comes to mind when trying to describe this particular Sage, with its soft silver-gray, plump leaves and bushy habit. It is a very lovely and clean variety which requires next to no maintenance and smells wonderfully. Berggarten does not grow quite as tall as other sages.
