Aster Kickin® Carmine Red Fall Blooming Perennial - Hardy - Gallon Pot
Gift wrapping Options available
Also known as Fall Asters, these are terrific favorites for autumn colour in the perennial border. Plants form bushy mounds, bearing loads of small daisy flowers. This is a compact selection with single, lilac-blue flowers, each with a tiny golden button eye. Pinch plants before July to keep especially low in habit. Excellent in containers. Most Asters will be troubled much less with powdery mildew when grown in a moist, rich soil.
Apart from having an awesome name that people will love, in our experience these new asters really do live up to their name. Their habit is superb, forming a very full, bushy, relatively short mound of finely textured green foliage. From late summer through mid-fall, every inch of the foliage is completely covered in flowers, creating a huge splash of color that is so needed in the garden late in the season. Due to their naturally compact habit, they are terrific in containers or near the front to middle of the border. They do not require any human intervention to maintain their neat habit.
