Biennial. Charming large clusters of double flowers in a myriad of colors, and one of the longest lasting cut flowers available! In the garden, butterflies and bees love the sweet and spicy scented flowers. As a biennial, Sweet William forms a lovely plant the first year but waits until the second year to flower. In mild climates, plant may be a short-lived perennial, returning the following year. However, for the best flower production we recommended reseeding every year so you’ll be sure to always have flowering plants. If flowers are left on the plant, it will reseed readily, and is always a welcomed garden guest.
