Peony Scrumdidlyumptious is an eye-catching intersectional hybrid - a cross which marries the exotic looks of tree peonies with the herbaceous growth habit of herbaceous peonies, and often called an Itoh Peony. The sumptuous, gently perfumed blooms are semi-double initially, but become increasingly more double as the plant matures. The unusual blush apricot flowers stand out well against its glossy foliage. A lovely bushy perennial for early summer borders. Height: 80cm (31"). Spread: 90cm (36").
Culinary note: The petals can be added to salads, or cooked slightly and sweetened for a treat. Peony water was also once considered a delicacy and the blooms can be floated in punches.
