Get a head start on spring. Grow the plant inside in a sunny window, then plant outside when the threat of frost is over. Indeterminate - VFNT - 70 days - Large, pear-shaped fruit are an average 5 inches long. Fruit is high in pectin, giving sauce and paste natural thickness. Tall plants give large yields and are resistant to bacterial speck. Heirloom. TOMATO: Tomatoes are rich in vitamins and antioxidants, and the seeds are high in fiber. The green parts are mildly poisonous, which is not surprising, as tomatoes are closely related to both nightshade and tobacco. The tomato was originally believed to be poisonous when introduced into Europe, and was used solely as an ornamental plant during the 16th and 17th centuries. The first traces of its use as a food date back to the first half of the 18th century. Tomatoes are now a tasty ingredient in many dishes, and are used fresh, canned, stewed or even sun-dried.

A bit hesitant ordering plants online especially since I need to plant and grow each yr for consumption. These came very well packed, alive and in very good condition for mail order. Would, probably will order again next year.

Plants arrived in good shape and meticulously packaged. Right now we are following the plant hardening instructions provided in the package. This is our third year ordering tomatoes from this vendor, and all I can say is "Be prepared for a bountiful harvest of gorgeous tomatoes!"

I was pleasantly surprised how quickly I received these plants.they looked nice but I had to hold them for a couple weeks due to unusually cool weather so they looked pretty rough when I planted them.I am happy to say not only did they recover but they look fantastic.I am very happy with this order and will be reordering in the future.
