Senecio stapeliiformis is a fast grower and good succulent in frost free zones and also a great container plant for full sun to partial shade. It typically grows up to 10 inches in length and 0.8 inches in thickness. Interestingly, white offsets, or "babies," emerge from the stem underground and develop their distinct dark green and silver coloration when exposed to sunlight. Its distinctive green-and-white pattern closely resembles a cucumber. The stems of the plant are slender and branching, forming a compact, bushy growth habit. Allow this succulent to go dry between waterings.
