Sowing Instructions
Sowing time: Sow 10-12 weeks before planting out in spring Z3-7 or fall Z8-10

Flowers late spring-early summer or late fall-spring. This viola seed is often used as a Half Hardy Annual.

Sow seed onto the surface of a good, free-draining, damp seed sowing mix and apply a fine sprinkling of vermiculite or sowing mix, just covering the seed. Place container in a propagator or seal inside of plastic bag and place at a warm temperature of 15-20C (60-68F) until after germination which takes 10-15 days. Be sure not to provide too high of a temperature because it will prevent germination.

Growing Instructions
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into trays or 7.5cm (3in.) pots. Gradually acclimatize plants to cooler condiditons for a few weeks before planting out 15cm (6in) apart.
