Great for cut bouquets. Anemone are a great addition to the fall border. Flowers borne on tall stems are freely and continuously produced over lush mounding foliage. Likes moisture and needs winter protection in most northern states. Easy to grow. Mature plants will spread to fill in. Leaves blacken in winter, so you may want to cut back in the fall. Transplanting is best done in the spring. Anemone benefit from a general purpose fertilizer or compost in late fall to late winter.
