Mini Schefflera arboricola - Dwarf Umbrella Plant - 3.5" Pot

The Mini Schefflera arboricola is an easy to grow house plant. It prefers bright, indirect light. Water once the topsoil becomes dry. Over-watering is more of a common problem than a lack of water. If left to grow tall, the Schefflera will lose its lower leaves, leaving a straight trunk and a large “top” – which is why this tropical beauty is often called the Umbrella Tree. Grown indoors the Schefflera Arboricola can be kept to a manageable size of 4 – 6ft tall, and the good news is they respond well to basic indoor conditions. The umbrella tree is a fast-growing species that will need pruning back. If a tree becomes leggy or you want to encourage a bushy appearance to grow, pinch growing tips. The larger Schefflera actinophylla features long, shiny, oval green leaves that droop gracefully from a central stalk, resembling an umbrella.
