Mai Tai Geum Perennial Plant - 2.5" Pot

Geum prefer rich, well-drained soil. Some moisture required. Morning sun with afternoon shade is preferred in hot summer climates. Good winter drainage is necessary for survival. Can be divided every 2 years or so in early spring or early fall. Cut back spent foliage in summer after flowering for flush of new growth. Deadheading encourages greater flower production. Everything about the Mai Tai Geum is refreshing: apricot-watermelon-colored, fluttery, poppy-like blooms; those adorable purple stems, (purple stems!!!); mounding, forest-green, textured leaves with feathered edges. They grow like a columbine or coral bells, with their handsome foliage growing compact and low, and their lovely flowers on long stems waving high above. Geum is perennial, adaptable, and easy to grow, in addition to being a bountiful bloomer of bright and joyful flowers. So get some Mai Tai's, bud! It's 5 o'clock somewhere.
