Lupine Gallery Blue, Lupinus x hybrida 'Gallery Blue', features beautiful spires of blue flowers which display their intricate beauty in late spring through early summer. This classic American perennial is wonderful for cut flower arrangements and attracts hummingbirds and butterflies, and deer hate it! Cut them for bouquets or deadhead for continuous bloom. The lush bright green palmate leaves really stand out in the garden too, and forms a nice dense mound. Lupine prefers relatively cool conditions, so do not plant in a hot spot. Lupinus 'Gallery Blue' thrives in rich organic soil with good drainage. Plant in the spring after average last frost date or in late summer in warmer climates. Can be used for cut flowers, planted in mass, or backyard plants.
