This flamboyant tricolor is bright lipstick-red with a white-topped yellow base. It’s novel form among the Fosterianas sets it apart too: it has pointed, twisty flower petals that open fully to expose its brilliant yellow heart. Fosteriana Tulips are the largest, most striking of all Tulip varieties. Their large, long, velvety flowers bloom in early spring. Foliage is very attractive, with broad grey-green leaves which are sometimes mottled or striped. Stem is medium to long. They are among the best for perennializing and will bloom together with daffodils. In so many ways, these are simply the best tulips available.
