AQUILEGIA: A graceful perennial, with blue-green foliage. At home in formal or cottage settings, their flowers are the center of attention. A wealth of flowers in sun or shade, aquilegias also make good cut flowers. Delicate yet sturdy upright stems top the bushy mound of deeply-cut green foliage, supporting large, blue and white upward-facing flowers with delicate blue spurs. Requires less of a winter chill than other varieties and will bloom earlier in the season. Excellent for mixed borders and rock gardens. An herbaceous perennial. Measurements are approximate.
