CHOCOLATE VINE PERENNIAL - AKEBIA QUINATA - 2.5" POT

I just planted them, so they are still spindly little vines. They look healthy but I am not sure how well they are going to do yet. If they are as hardy as all the information on them, I have high hopes they will do well.

    Chocolate Vine Akebia Quinata

I was so lucky to find this vine from this supplier. I bought two; I have been looking for years for this variety to compliment my existing variety "Silver Bells". These two arrived in perfect condition and perfectly dormant for Spring planting. I am so excited to plant them outside in a few months. I have been told many times that I need two separate varieties to produce flowers and fruit from each. Keep you posted. All smiles

I was surprised that it came green even in January. It is a small plant but was nicely packaged and looks healthy.

    Healthy plant

Plant came healthy and undamaged but definitely smaller than what I was expecting according to the previous reviews. Only complaint was that the soil either spilled out or it wasn’t packed as much so I’m forced to repot it ASAP and hopefully that wouldn’t hurt the plant much. Would definitely buy again though.
