Product Description

A giant Ajuga, with 6 inch long, purple and green leaves and 8 inch tall, blue flower spikes. This variety tends to be a clumper until it gets established. At that time, it will spread to form a dense, weed-smothering groundcover. A. reptans is a quickly spreading, evergreen groundcover that can grow in the shade of large trees where grass is hard to establish. It also fits nicely into rock gardens and mixed container plantings. Unlike many perennials that are grown only for their flowers, ajuga is prized for its attractive, colorful foliage that looks nice all year.

    1st of all, I am very happy with the plants. (Catlin's Giant Ajuga). They arrived in a flat type container covered in Styrofoam peanuts. A necessary way I suppose. A couple of the leaf stems broke in shipping but they have recovered well. Advertised in 2 1/4 " pots. The tray segments were that size in length but only about 1" in width, but I'm still happy with them. For the price, a good investment and I would purchase again. So in conclusion, I'm happy with the product and shipping arrived in a timely manner as well. I checked the new plants today and they have all shown new growth. good enough that they look ready to make it through the winter in mid north Indiana, and jump up in the spring!
