Product Description

Another terrific Alocasia ideal for terrarium use! This little variety has very narrow, arrowhead shaped leaves ,and only reaches 10-12" tall! A great choice for most any size enclosure. As with all elephant ears, they do not take well to cold weather and may die back to the soil line, but will come right back as soon as the temperature warms. If ground freezing in your area is common, we suggest keeping A. amazonica in containers, in-ground and removing them when an overnight freeze is imminent. They do not like to dry out or be too wet, keep evenly moist, not wet or dry! Alocasia amazonica will live indefinitely in containers if proper care is given and is an excellent indoor plant!
  • Easy to grow house plant
  • Naturally grows multiple stems
  • Exotic leaves
  • Prefers bright, indirect light
  • Immediate shipping in a 2.5" pot

    Bambino Shield Plant

This is an adorable, AND TOUGH little plant! It is beautiful, and looks exactly like it's full sized variety, only tiny!! Funny, to call an elephant ear plant tiny, but it is! And I'm hoping they live forever, they're so beautiful!

This plant came packaged nicely, even had a warming pack included. A couple leaves were broken, despite that it's doing well under a grow light. A new leaf has already started.

It came wrapped and protected against the elements. I was a little nervous considering they don't like the cold but it came to me in perfect condition. I knew that it was going to be small but that's the joy in watching it grow. I order from Hirts all the time.
