Variegated Strawberry Begonia - Saxifraga stolonifera
This rare, variegated version of the popular Strawberry Begonia is an attractive addition to any plant collection. Its small, rounded leaves have creamy edges. In full sun, the edges take on a bright pink color. Look for pups to emerge from the base of the Begonia; they will continue to trail down alongside this short, mounding plant.
Native to China the Strawberry Begonia gets it's name from the strawberry like leaves. It is also know as a Strawberry Geranium Plant, even though it is neither a strawberry, begonia or Geranium. Regardless, it is an easy to grow houseplant that prefers bright, indirect light. Water thoroughly when on the dry side. Feed once every 3 months. Great houseplant!
