Annual. Bachelor’s button, also known as cornflower, is drought tolerant and needs little pampering. Flowers are great for cutting or drying and the edible petals are beautiful sprinkled on a salad. Bachelor’s button will “naturalize” — the seed the plant drops quite readily germinates the next year to produce another crop of beautiful flowers.
