Product Description

Araucaria heterophylla, are native of Norfolk Island (somewhere between New Caledonia and Australia in the South Pacific). Although they may reach a height of 80 feet in their natural habitat, they will maintain a reasonable size when grown in a container, in the home. The beauty and symmetry of the plant, as well as the soft texture of the foliage will make you want to decorate it, and use it for your living Christmas tree. The Norfolk Island Pine is a great house plant. It prefers full sun or very, bright, indirect light. Water when the soil is on the dry side.
  • Home grown by Hirt's Gardens. Excellent houseplant

  • Prefers very bright, indirect light or some morning sun

    My “Brookie” Trees

Posted by Deb Youngkin on Nov 28th 2021

We suddenly, unexpectedly lost our beautiful daughter two weeks ago. I bought 12 of these little trees as a tribute to give in my daughters memory to her best friends. I put tiny led lights on them and call them the “Brookie” tree. The plants arrived within days and were even prettier and fuller than expected. Thank you for allowing me to give something to people that I believe will look at the tree every once in a while and smile as a fond memory of our Brooke crosses their mind. I know she will not be forgotten now ….. they all have a “Brookie” tree!!!

    Lovely Trees

Posted by Anna on Nov 19th 2021

I ordered two trees -- one for my family and one for a friend's family. They arrived faster than expected and were well-wrapped. We noticed that the roots were coming out of the drainage holes so we repotted our tree to give it a bit more room. These trees were large for 4'' pot trees. Hopefully it will thrive despite being shipped across country and repotted at the wrong time of year!
