In hot weather the petals open a pure, brilliant white with magenta accents just around the center. In cool weather the whole bloom blushes a rosy pink color, set off by the golden button center. Not only does 'Starlight' set exceptionally big, beautiful blooms, but it is also incredibly rewarding and easy to grow. For one thing it is truly cold hardy, surviving to -20 degrees without damage. Secondly, it is highly disease resistance, displaying no disease problems in trials. Even pests like deer generally leave it alone.
