Product Description

"Heart-leaf" Philodendron (Philodendron cordatum) is probably one of the easiest house plants to grow. Place them nearly anywhere (except direct sun) and they will thrive. Allow the soil to dry about one inch from the surface before watering. Feed monthly with a balanced plant food. If your plant becomes leggy... just cut it back to the desired size. The cuttings are easily rooted in a container of water or vermiculite. Native to: Southern Brazil Growth habit: A trailing or climbing plant. When grown unsupported usually not over 12" in height. Vines can reach over 6 foot in length.

    I was so amazed at how beautiful the philodendron plants were when I opened the box. I searched everywhere locally and online for these plants because I wanted them for Thanksgiving, but had no success until I stumbled upon Hirt's site. The price for the plants was among the lowest. The customer service rep assured me that with regular shipping I would get them quickly because they would be shipped the same day I placed the order, and she was right!

    I am so happy with how voluminous this plant is in a little 4" pot. I was worried it wouldn't be healthy because USPS took several extra days to deliver it, but the soil was still moist and the plant appears to be OK if a little smushed from being packed for a few extra days.
