Pure white Carnegie has a special quality many gardeners really love. Carnegie returned faithfully in upstate New York, and even in the South, for at least three straight years. That's a big deal for a hyacinth. Daffodils may be the symbol of spring. One of the most powerfully fragranced blooms in the flower kingdom is the justly famous Dutch hyacinth--the result of hundreds of years of hybridizing a lovely little wildflower from Turkey--now an upright torch of incredible color and unmatched perfume.
