This striking two-toned tulip 'Cape Town' (Tulipa) has lemon yellow petals with a small decorative red edging. As the flower matures the edging becomes broader and deeper. What an eye-catcher in the garden! 'Cape Town' tulips are suitable for beds and borders but also look wonderful in large planters. They make a lovely addition to any vase. Tulipa 'Cape Town' flowers early, a real harbinger of spring! The very name Tulip is magic, for everyone knows this fine genus. We call these flowers the "lipsticks of the garden" because they provide a finishing touch that brings spring borders to life. Plant Tulips in well-drained, good garden soil.
