Product Description

The Black Rose Tree is and easy to grow house plant with rich, dark chocolate and plum coloured foliage. It's a reliable beauty, looking dark and sensual all year round, performing magnificently month after month. As a succulent it will tolerate very dry conditions, but in summer it will look more beautiful if watered during dry periods. As a container plant, the Black Rose is ideal, easy to grow, as well as stunningly good-looking. The Black Rose prefers a sunny location and is even hardy in zone 10. In cooler regions grow as a house plant. Immediate shipping in a 4" pot, approximately 6-8 inches tall There are about 35 species of Aeonium . All but two are found in the islands of Macaronesia (particularly the Canary Islands), off the coast of North Africa in the Atlantic Ocean. A. arboreum is one of the two mainland species, growing in Morocco.

    I was very disappointed with the plant. It looked old and scarred, the stem was ridiculously tall plus some of the leaves were dying. I expected a cute plant based on the photo. Deceptive. This was my 4th Hirt's purchase. The first two purchases were great. The 3rd and 4th were disappointing. I highly doubt I will buy future plants from Hirt's. While I love their variety, I don't want to take any more chances.

    This plant was ok. It looked like an older plant with a thick stem witch is fine. I had to clean up a lot of leaves that were dead or going, but it looks decent.

    I am so in love with this succulent! It arrived in nearly perfect condition. Leaves were a little disarrayed however after a few days under a grow light and a new pot, it's looking healthy as ever.Bought one for my sister too
