Product Description

CLEMATIS: Always called the "Queen of Vines," nothing else makes the spectacular show of a clematis in full bloom. In almost all zones, these magnificent plants decorate mailboxes, trellises and porches with cascades of some of the most beautiful blooms in the flower kingdom, and they're not difficult to grow. There's no reason you can't add them to your landscape. Clematis 'Ville de Lyon' is a vigorous free-flowering cultivar that will certainly attract attention to your landscape. Bright purplish-red flowers with a mid-pink bar; center of petals fade with age or sun to mauve, while the edges retain their color. Nicely contrasting yellow anthers complete the look. 'Ville de Lyon' reblooms in early autumn. A large-flowered variety, 5"-7" in diameter. Pruning group 3.

Great selection, service, prices and availability

Posted by Patricia Stec on Aug 2nd 2021

I was delighted that in the middle of summer I found the clematis varieties I had just discovered and was looking for in stock, and at excellent prices. The plants arrived 48 hours after shipping by priority mail, in excellent condition with well developed root systems and foliage, very well protected in the box with bubble wrap. I had a customer service question when placing the order, and the owner Matt Hirt personally responded by e-mail quite promptly. I watered and planted the clematis the same day they arrived since it is the middle of the summer already. I am extremely pleased with this mail order nursery and would definitely recommend them.
