Starry Starry Night Giant Hibiscus Rose Mallow Perennial - Quart Pot

Hibiscus 'Starry Starry Night' is an incredible 2015 release from our friends at Walters Gardens. This hardy mallow boasts some of the darkest purple foliage of any hibiscus we've seen. The compact, well-branched plants form a 4' wide x 4' tall focal point, adorned for us from late June through September with an abundance of 8" flowers of soft pink with a gradient that changes from light to dark pink as your eyes swirl around the flower. Each flower is further highlighted with a bright red eye, whose color radiates out into the flower. Good soil moisture will result in the best performance of this stunning US native perennial. Perennial hardy hibiscus add an upright garden form to the garden, as well as summer flowering when many spring perennials have finished flowering or gone dormant. Also, there are few plants with such a floral show that tolerates wet soil.
