Product Description

Silver Streak Shamrock Oxalis. Sun to Part Sun. Zone: 7-10. 6" tall. Origin: S. America. This selection of the popular Oxalis is composed of olive-green leaves highlighted by a silver overlay pattern in the center of the leaves. In late spring, the clumps are topped with large, white/pink flowers. General Description. These non-invasive natives of South Africa and South America produce mostly 5 petaled flowers on 3, sometimes 4 leafed plants that make wonderful mounds in our garden from June-October. They're particularly wonderful in partial shade, but don't seem fussy about being in full sun even during our hot, humid summers. They also make excellent house plants!
  • Olive-green leaves topped with large, white/pink flowers.
  • Zones 7-10, or an excellent house plant.
  • Easy to grow.
  • Makes a great gift.
  • Immediate Shipping 10 bulbs

    Silver Streak Fanny Shamrock

Request for review comes too soon to be able to tell you how well the bulbettes for this plant grew, but I CAN tell you that they arrived very quickly, packaged in a safe way, so they look in perfect condition, plump and vibrant-looking. I have a purple version of this plant, which originally was planted outside (zone 9) and did very well. Last spring I moved a couple of the bulbettes into a pot in the house and WOW! Not only did they stay alive all winter, they thrived and bloomed non-stop. They have the added interest of their leaves folding up at night and opening during the day, like little solar panels. I'm anxious to add this variegated version to the same pot, for a mix of deep purple and light green variegated indoors. The rest will join their cousins outside. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have enjoyed mine!
