Product Description

The Blue Star Rabbit's Foot Fern is a tropical fern with brown rhizomes cultivated for its beautiful deep bluish-green, heavy lobed fronds; sometimes placed in genus Polypodium. It is smaller and more compact than most. It is suitable as a potted plant, for indoor and outdoor usage, tropical landscaping and as cut foliage. It grows best in shade to half shade, well drained moist soil. It matures to 20 inches tall and can be used in 6 to 10 inch pots. Also known as: Polypodium areolatum, Polypodium pseudo-aureum 'Virginia Blue', Polypodium pseudoaureum, Blue Rabbit's Foot Fern, Virginia Blue Fern FERN: A fern is any one of a group of about 12,000 species of plants. Unlike mosses they have xylem and phloem (making them vascular plants). They have stems, leaves, and roots like other vascular plants. Ferns do not have either seeds or flowers (they reproduce via spores).
