PAPAVER: Delicate blossoms of Poppies have enchanted us for generations. Large paper-thin petals form a bowl around their ornamental centers. The blossoms are a favorite for butterflies, hummingbirds and bees. Sunlight makes their translucent petals positively glow with color. Oriental Poppy 'Pizzicato''. The first semi-dwarf oriental poppy! Red, orange, salmon and white flowers bloom on long-lived plants with up to 20 stems per plant. Great in beds, borders or for cutting! These Poppies bloom in May and June each year on vigorous plants about 16" tall...and they are truly spectacular. Plant them in groups or in the perennial border and you will enjoy them for a lifetime. They do well in the sun or slight shade in well drained soil. Plant 15-18" apart. Hardy Zones 3-8

    We got 3 of these plants on Monday, after being told they might not arrive until Wednesday. Considering I couldn’t plant them until Saturday, I was wondering if maybe their sitting outside caused them to go bad. One of them looks fine, but the other two will get some much needed TLC. Hoping that will revive them. I must say, that I ordered about 50 + plants and only four of them need some special attention. The rest of them look wonderful!!
