Product Description

Lemon Ball is one of the most colorful of the sedums, and certainly lives up to its name. It is a dependable, drought-tolerant, high quality plant with yellow-green foliage that keeps its color all summer long. It has a spreading, mounded habit that is both neat and vigorous. The spruce-like foliage does not flop apart in the center, but stays very dense and bushy. This one has done great in our gardens. Lemon Ball Sedum is awesome grown in a terra cotta pot or hanging basket where it spills over the edge in just a few weeks. It gets it's name for the color and the "ball" of growth it will create around a pot when used singly, as in the picture to the right. The gorgeous yellow foliage is beautiful when planted next to dark leaved plants. It is also useful as a groundcover or border in garden beds and rock gardens. Because it is a succulent, Lemon Ball Sedum is exceptionally drought tolerant and easy to grow. Provide very well-drained soil adding gravel if necessary to improve drainage. It prefers full sun but will tolerate some shade. Lemon Ball Sedum is robust, low maintenance and easy to establish.  The dense, colorful foliage looks attractive year round in the border planting. Hardy in zones 5-9 or indoors.
