Blooming a few weeks earlier than typical Buddleia, the 5-6” magenta-purple fragrant spikes deepen to blue-purple. Chartreuse foliage with luminous yellow highlights is a perfect backdrop to the sparkling flowers. Compact, wide profile. Very late to break dormancy in spring. May die back to ground in northern climates. Blooms on new wood. Heavy pruning is not needed, but may be trimmed in spring after new growth emerges, if desired.
