Grand Marshall Bee Balm - Monarda - Quart Pot - Fuchsia/Purple
Gift wrapping Options available
Monarda 'Grand Marshall' (PP#19582) has unique fuchsia-purple flowers atop 18 to 24" stems that hold aromatic, mint scented foliage. It is very mildew resistant and adds wonderful summer color to the mixed perennial garden.
Monarda (bee balm) grows best in part sun to part shade in rich soil with regular moisture where it will spread from underground runners to form a dense colony. Often the best success is had when it is used as a transition plant between the full sun and full shade gardens, such as at the woodland edge or on the northeast side of the house.
Very attractive to butterflies, bees and hummingbirds. When crushed, the foliage will release a spicy fragrance and the leaves can be used to make a delightful herbal tea.
