AQUILEGIA: A graceful perennial, with blue-green foliage. At home in formal or cottage settings, their flowers are the center of attention. A wealth of flowers in sun or shade, aquilegias also make good cut flowers.
Strong colors and color combinations spark new interest in Aquilegia! Earlybird™ Series has a low cold requirement and short juvenility for growing in warm Winter climates. Features a controlled habit, with relatively short stems on well-mounded plants. Requires less of a winter chill than other varieties and will bloom earlier in the season. Excellent for mixed borders and rock gardens. An herbaceous perennial.
Earlybird™ Red and Yellow Columbine features bold nodding red bell-shaped flowers with buttery yellow overtones and red spurs at the ends of the stems from mid spring to early summer. The flowers are excellent for cutting. Its ferny compound leaves remain green in color throughout the season.
