Product Description

IRIS: Iris is a genus of between 200–300 species of flowering plants with showy flowers. It takes its name from the Greek word for a rainbow, referring to the wide variety of flower colors found among the many species. A must have perennial, the iris tolerates wet, boggy areas and is very adaptable to a variety of soil types. New Wow, what a gorgeous new Siberian Iris with double flowers! The 5-5½", violet-blue flowers are held by strong stems with slightly arching, narrow grass like leaves and will grow 27" tall. Does well in any regular soil, but thrives under moist conditions in full sun. Naturalizing. One of the most easily grown Iris, originating from Northern Asia. Does well under all types of weather conditions. Best grown in a humus soil. Originally available only in deep violet purple, we are now able to offer many other colors which have the same fine naturalizing habits as the original.
