Product Description

Indispensable herb for the garden chef, and a wonderful ornamental plant in the xeric border. Mentha piperita cv 'Chocolate Mint' is a wonderfully easy to grow garden herb that has a decadent chocolate-mint fragrance and minty flavor. Use Chocolate Mint for culinary uses such as mixed in with teas, breads, desserts or with fresh fruit such as strawberries. Excellent dried or fresh. Chocolate Mint will readily make itself at home in full sun to partial shade in moist soil. Most gardeners don't have any trouble growing it, but it can get away from you if you are not careful. We recommend growing all mints in a contained area or planting them in a large pot in the ground. All mints perform best when they are harvested or cut back at regular intervals. Remove old woody plants to allow newer, younger plants to fill in. At the end of the growing season cut Spearmint plants back to ground level.
  • Zones 3-9 or houseplant. Mature Size: 18"-24" X 36"

    I ordered 4 different mints, Chocolate, Berries & cream, orange, and mojito. Every plant was beautiful & what was represented in the product description. The box was packed nicely and shipped with air bubbles that protected it well. Received a thank you note inside. Received them extremely fast in 2 days. Price was very good compared to online prices. Very impressed. Will definitely order from Hirt's Gardens for my unique gardening needs.

    Arrived in the same shipment as two other varieties of mint I'd ordered and this one was by far in the best condition. Though a little smaller than I expected (and smaller than the other two varieties), it was in near perfect condition and smells divine.
