Candy Corn Plant (Manettia luteorubra) comes from the rain forests of Central and South America. This unusual plant is also known as the Brazilian Firecracker plant, is typically grown as a houseplant, but is hardy to Zones 9 through 11 and may survive in Zone 8b with protection. This easy to grow vine produces abundant red-orange blooms with yellow tips, resembling candy corn. Medium to dark green teardrop leaves enhance the fiery display of blooms. It prefers morning sun or very bright, indirect light. Keep evenly moist, not wet or dry. Trim as needed.
