Border Ballet Red Hot Poker - Kniphofia - Quart Pot

Kniphofia are old-fashioned favorites. A sun-lover that likes it hot and dry. Avoid too moist (wet feet). Dead heading may prolong blooming by removing old flower spikes. To improve appearance, cut back foliage by one half. Leave foliage for winter protection and cut back to 3"" in spring. Divide in spring. Like many of the best ballet dancers, Border Ballet is tall, elegant and full of stamina. The perennial maintains the soft dusty coral color of the flowers, which continue blooming throughout the summer.
