Backlit with the sun, the charming blossoms of Crocus Blue Marlin take on the elegance of a hand-painted lamp shade. Soft lilac and purple striations grace the outer petals that open to glowing white interiors with a dark yellow eye peeking from the base. Slender grass-like foliage is etched with a central silver stripe on each blade. Naturalizes readily. CROCUS: Crocus plants are relatively small, reaching just 3-6 inches in height (depending on the variety). The leaves are grass-like, generally with a light stripe running up the middle. Many of the spring-flowering crocus bulbs are among the earliest bloomers. The blooms pucker up at night and re-open in the morning.
