As the name suggests, this double-flowering Windflower resembles a Peony. Soft-rose pink petals progress to white tips and some petals show just a hint of green. Flaunting its jam-packed petals above ferny foliage, it is long blooming and naturalizes to create a lush spring under-planting. Foliage does go dormant after flowering. The lush blossoms of Anemone Peony Red/White are stunning in cut-flower arrangements. Finely-cut foliage complements the blooms, then dies back during summer while the plants are dormant. The flowers last for up to two weeks in a vase. In zones 7-10 anemones may be planted in fall for spring flowers. In colder zones they can be planted in spring for late summer flowers.
